I encourage artists of all skill levels to go ahead and submit work, this is a group with a shared common interest, let's show each other what we appreciate the most about our robot friends.
If there is anything I can do to make this group better, don't hesitate to send me a note. I am looking forward to seeing how everything progresses.

The Robotic Heart
A story by Francezka Lewandowski.
Once upon a time, somewhere between the 27th and 28th century, there was a town completely ruled by robots. It was one of the strangest places you could ever go to. Everyone there was made of metal, gears, tin, elastic, and wires. Stranger then that, this town wasn't actually made for robots. This town was once called Morgan Hill and robots only lived there as human devices and servants. But as we all know, robots are never satisfied and they chased the humans away and called the town the best name they could think of: Town. That was okay though, because after so many years the robots of Town forgot all about humans and how much they hated them. Few of them even remembered what they were.
There were three types of robots that resided in Town. First there were the Shival bots. They were the smallest of robots. They were as big as a cat and as smart as a turkey. None of them were ever named anything and they sai

Latrodroid (1)- The titular characters of these stories. Small interchangeable robots that are known to the humans of the future as "fuel gremlins" but refer to themselves as "droids" or "latrodroids".
Fuel (2)- A substance similar to petroleum used to power most devices from vehicles to hand-held appliances in the future. This also powers the droids, hence why they need it to survive.
Programmer (3)- The original generation of droids escaped from humans in an attempt to get independence. To convince themselves that they were human, they manufactured the generation your reading about. Basically they are the droids parents, hence why they refer to them as "dad" or "mom".
Fuel station (4)- a building that spares a resemblance to modern gas stations where huma
Mechanical DeathEven mechanical things can live.Mechanical Death by Insanity-Engine
It stirred, steel tendons and synthetic muscles twanging like sad music in the cold silent dark. In turn, the dark hissed back, a noiseless sound from the furthest depths of blackest space. The thing with the tendons of steel and the skinless hide glistening with oil twitched and spasmed and trembled, the mess of electric synapses it called a mind confused by the notion of life.
It felt. And what it felt confused it, for it had never felt before and it did not know what it was to feel. It felt cold and hot at the same time, two extremes of temperature that at a point became inseparable with each other. It felt and heard and saw a world that it did not understand. For it had never lived before now.
The mechanical pump at the center of its being fluttered uncertainly, a chaotic interruption of a carefully timed rhythm: Thump flutter thump click whiiiine. The hissing noiseless dark writhed in its corners of blackest black and waited.
